Bar Kupershtein

Bar, 23 years old.

On April 1, he celebrated his second birthday in captivity.

About six years ago, after his father was injured in a car accident and became a nursing home, Bar moved in with his grandparents to free up his room for his father’s caregiver.

Bar has 4 younger siblings, and he became the main breadwinner for the family as the manager of the family business.

Bar worked as a security guard at the Nova party and when the attack began, he treated and evacuated many wounded people, based on his experience as a medic in his military service. His father is making great efforts to relearn how to talk and walk in order to make Bar happy when they meet. Bar's family is waiting to hug him and celebrate his birthday with him.

For each hostage still in captivity, may we breath with them and send light, love, healing and air to the darkness in which they find themselves, and may the urgency of their return echo far and wide.... 🙏
