May you meet the ‘unwanted’ with a fat juicy, ‘Yes!’
A prayer, a blessing, from my heart to yours.
This kid’s radiating the most glorious energy. It’s as if he’s just been given the best news ever and is about the start a celebratory happy dance!
Which perfectly matches today’s blessing and backstory!
The backstory:
A friend shared that years ago, he had a roommate who had a particular habit that always made him laugh.
Whenever something unexpected happened that would typically be labelled as ‘bad’ or ‘inconvenient’ and met with reactions like ‘ARGGHHHH!!’, ‘Oh NO! Not this! or ‘F$:&%CK!!!!’
…… like accidentally dropping and breaking a full glass bottle of olive oil on the floor,
……or knocking a glass of red wine all over a new white couch, etc,
his roommate would energetically exclaim ‘YES!!! That’s EXACTLY what I wanted to happen!!!’
I love the idea of this reframe, this pattern interrupt. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!🤪
The blessing:
Precious heart,
When you are met by unexpected, ‘unwanted’, ‘inconvenient’ twists and turns,
May you triumphantly throw your hands in the air and enthusiastically exclaim, ‘YESS!!!! Fantastic!!! That’s exactly what I wanted to happen!’
May this good-natured pattern interrupt bring a smile, a refreshing reframe, and a reminder,
‘Good? Bad? Who knows!’
So may it be. 🙏

Blessing backstory:
A while ago I decided to find uplifting images, ones that made me smile and lifted my spirit. And to send them together with a blessing, a personal wish, to my immediate family. Over time it’s become a ‘daily-ish’ morning practice via WhatsApp to a slowly growing recipient list. Recently I’ve started to share these blessings and images on social media too, with a prayer that they brighten the world of those who receive them.
