Tamir Nimrodi

Thank you to the dedication of "🎗️Counting till they are back🎗️" for getting to know some of Tamir's story.

All posts are created and shared with care and best intent. Please receive any errors with kindness and understanding🙏

Tamir, aged 20 is the son of Herut and Alon, and brother to Mika and Amit.

In the weeks leading up to October 7th, Tamir was in full bloom, having come into his own after challenging years in high school. He was serving in the Education Corps, a role in which he saw himself growing—and had even interviewed for officer training. His mother describes how he found purpose and meaning in his service, and how he cared deeply for every soldier on the base.

In early February, Alon sent a message to Tamir:
“My dear and beloved Tamir,
We are fighting for you—and for all the hostages.
We miss you terribly and want nothing more than for you to come home…
To all the hostages who hear me now, know that the struggle is ongoing, and we are not giving up on you.”

Let us together hold the vision of Tamir’s return — that powerful moment when he is finally wrapped in the arms of his beloved family, parents Herut and Alon and siblings Mika and Amit.

The more people — men, women, and young people — who change their profile pictures to the faces of the hostages and the count of days in captivity, the more their presence will not be erased, their cries will be heard, and the more strength we can send them — to endure one more minute, one more hour, one more day, as we breathe with them and together hold the vision strong of them reunited in the arms of their families NOW. Let us, together, disrupt the status quo and bring them home.

May we courageously envision a future that is liberated from a cycle of hatred, traumatic loss and deep heart ache. One that embodies the words, “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.”~Buckminster Fuller
So may it be 🙏🕯️❤️‍🩹🕊️
